I always read the negative reviews as well as the positive ones. For this product the negative reviews were, almost exclusively, concerned with the seat's instability and tendency to tip over (with the child in it) when used free-standing on the floor. This is a booster seat which means it is to be fitted to a full sized dining room chair using the straps provided (the clue is in the name). The manufacturer indicates that is NOT intended for use on the floor and, if you examine the footprint of the 'legs' this should be obvious. The manufacturers include an instruction leaflet in several languages and the written part runs to only two pages in English. There are however plenty of pictorial instructions which should leave the user in no doubt about how to fix it safely to a chair and, of course, children should never be left unattended it such a piece of equipment anyway. The product arrived in good time and well packaged, met with my granddaughter's approval and I have no hesitation in giving it five stars.
